I'm traveling through New Zealand for 3 months alone. I'll be on both the North Island, and South Island. And plan to post here when I can.

Yo ho yo ho, Christmas!

Last you heard from the adventure duo, Zach and Noah were travelling northward for a concert! We hitched from Kaikoura back to Nelson where, whilst it rained and poured and plummeted water all day and night, stayed in a hostel that seemed to be run by mobsters, it was great. We then got a flight back to Auckland, cheaper than a ferry and faster. Domestic flights here are crazy. There is literally no security. I didn't need to show my ID, there was no metal detector, I didn't even get asked if I had anything dangerous. It was a really smooth system. Once in auckland we stayed with one of my Aunts friends, named Penelopy. She was really fantastic and we stayed with her for a few days, while we went to the Gorillaz.

The Gorillaz was unbelievable, breathtaking, and awe inspiring. A feat that could only be accomplished by having 30+ people on stage, a string section, brass section, Damon Albarn, full video accompaniment, ah amazing! It was their last show ever forever and so everyone on stage was realllllly into it. It was beyond good. We met up with Zach's father to spend Christmas with him. He has been amazingly generous and treated us to 3 nights in a hotel, full of big warm breakfasts, and treating us to dinner, and museums and such. It's been great. Christmas Eve, Zach and I went walking around Auckland, and it turned out to be a really interesting time. We were offered a job for a short film as models. We would be payed a bunch of money, to be filmed cutting each others hair, and eventually shaving both our heads. We thought about it for a while, and decided it against it. We thought of it as a test to see if we would go beyond our better judgment for money, and we didn't. So Zach and I still have our full head of hair, and are still broke!
Today is Christmas! We're now on the Corimandal peninsula and spending, and non-white, hot Christmas. Bazaar.

The whole last week has been sort of a foggy freeze frame on the adventure. Plane rides, big concerts, a hotel, food that's made for you. I came to the conclusion that really the less money you spend, the more you'll enjoy the experience. Cooking your own food, hitching rides, sleeping outside, it really is an amazing way to live/travel. It's odd being clean shaven, well fed, and not sleeping in the dirt. Things are more exciting pennyless.

Having the best time of my life. Looking forward to more life ahead.
Merry Christmas.
Noah Bo Boah.
